Newborn Baby Miraculously Healed

We have another wonderful testimony to share with you. Claudia Barron, who comes regularly to our Food Bank in Juarez, showed up in great distress one day. She told us about her newborn grandson who was gravely ill in intensive care at the hospital.

Claudia’s daughter-in-law had had a long, drawn out labor which put the baby in distress. When he was born, he was not able to breathe on his own and was very sick. The medical team whisked the baby off to the neonatal intensive care unit, and the doctors told the parents that their son would probably not survive.

We gathered around Claudia and started to pray. One of the people praying saw an image of Father Thomas, but he was dressed like a doctor. “I saw him dressed in scrubs,” she shared, “with a surgical cap covering his head and a mask over his mouth.” Stranger still she saw him holding tubes in his hands. “I’m not sure why the Lord is showing me this image of him, but I know Father Thomas is doing something, and he is there with your grandson,” she told Claudia.

We also received Psalm 139:13-14, which says, “You formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother’s womb. I praise you, because I am wonderfully made; wonderful are your works!”

We told Claudia, “Go to the hospital and pray this psalm over your grandson in the incubator. Tell you son and daughter-in-law to pray it for their baby, too.”

So Claudia went back to the hospital, but they wouldn’t let anyone into the neonatal I.C.U. except for the baby’s parents. The staff had told them, “Your son is extremely ill, and there is nothing more we can do for him.” Claudia gave her Bible to her son, saying, “Son, take this psalm and start to pray with your child.”

When they got back to the lobby, Claudia asked, “What happened?” They said, “No, he’s still very sick. No change.” But as they were reading the Word of God, they told her, they felt great peace and consolation. That’s how things continued all weekend — the baby still very sick but the family was no longer sad.

On Monday when the parents entered the N.I.C.U. their son had no tubes in his nose or mouth. “What happened?” they asked. “Where’s the ventilator?” The doctor told them, “The child took the tubes out somehow. They were pulled out when the nurse came to check on him.” When they hurriedly examined him, however, the baby was breathing fine on his own!

No one newborn baby in incubatorcould quite believe that this very sick, very weak newborn had the strength to pull out those tubes. But we know who did.

The baby is still in the hospital for observation, but he is no longer on any machines and is getting stronger each day.

Thank You Jesus!
