Stethoscope in front of the heartbeat monitor.I was not feeling well. I had a very high heart rate (128) and also an acute pain on my left leg was killing me. My husband asked me to go to the hospital and before I did, I looked at all my saints but especially to a photograph a coworker gave me of Father Richard Thomas and I told him, “I do not know what I have, but this is your chance to perform your miracle.”

I went to the hospital and was immediately admitted to ICU. I was diagnosed with thrombosis on my left leg (three blood clots) and a pulmonary embolism (blood clots on both lungs). I stayed 10 days in intensive care and was released but my doctor asked me if I believed in miracles because he did. I answered yes.

He told me that it was a miracle I was alive due to all the blood clots I had. He mentioned that people with less of what I had had die, and he could not understand why I was still alive.

My blood clots are dissolved or in the process of being dissolved. Doctors have not performed another test because they do not consider it necessary. I will continue taking blood thinner medication the rest of my life, but the fact that I survived can be considered the answer to my prayer.

Five months later I have returned to work without restrictions.
